From the 2005 video vault: Chris Matthews hearts Glenn Beck

by editor on November 9, 2010

Get ready to be surprised. Maybe even shocked. Back in 2005 Glenn Beck appeared on MSNBC’s Hardball to promote his book “The Real America: Messages from the Heart and Heartland.”

This was back in the days when Beck was still relatively unknown, long before his CNN TV show and when he still had relatively few affiliates in his radio network. It was also prior to MSNBC’s hard turn to the left.

The interesting thing about this interview is that Beck was still the same Beck we see today on Fox, but Matthews has changed completely.

You won’t believe it until you see it for yourself, and you may not even believe it then, but Matthews gushes over Beck. Repeatedly.

Going into a commercial break he says, “This guy’s a great guy, Glenn Beck. When I come to work really late I listen to the guy coming in to work. Glenn Beck.”

Later Matthews ends the interview by saying, “You’re great. I listen to your show all the time. I think you’re about 30 years older than you are. You’re amazingly smart for such a young guy.”

As Yid With Lid said, “The video below teaches us a little bit about who really has the courage of his convictions, versus who adapts his opinions to please management.”

Glenn Beck has a very funny video, the Glenn Beck Gloat Fest 2010:

Honest, I was laughing so hard I had tears rolling down my face.

Glenn can gloat. But not for too long, the fights not over yet. No ‘Mission Accomplished’ moments, I hope. Just the beginning I’m afraid. It’ll take a few election cycles to weed out the Closet Russians/Chinese.

Welcome back, Neo. Did you somehow solve the technical glitch that was keeping you from posting?

I think Glenn oughta play this video clip on his show everyday and maybe O’Reilly should start playing it as well. You know that eveybody at MSNBO watches FOX news all day, because they need to know what is REALLY going on in the world…not that twisted biased crap they put out to whoever still watches them. Tweety will see this clip and be reminded of what a sorry POS sell-out that he is.

Interesting to see how people change…and how blind they can be to that change
